Prenatal checkup costs

The cost of prenatal health checkups is usually borne entirely by the individual. However, in Tokyo, a subsidy system is in place that allows partial coverage of these costs using prenatal health checkup vouchers.

Typically, the vouchers alone do not cover the full cost of checkups, and you will need to pay over 5,000 yen at each visit. Some hospitals only accept cash payments, so be sure to prepare accordingly.
