The one-month checkup is conducted at the hospital where the baby was born and includes examinations for both the mother and the baby.
For the mother: The doctor will check weight, blood pressure, protein in the urine, uterine recovery, postpartum discharge, healing of any wounds, breastfeeding status, and mental health.
For the baby: The doctor will measure height, weight, head circumference, and chest circumference, and check for heart murmurs, jaundice, hip dislocation, and reflexes.
If you have any concerns, consult the doctor during the checkup.
